Our wines

Alma Rosa captures the soul of “the Rosa” through wines that tell the story of the hills in the southern portion of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA.

Our wines reflect the soils, sun exposure, fog, cooling afternoon winds; and our long-standing connection with this place - carried by the voice of the vines.

2018 Vin Gris of Pinot Noir, Sta. Rita Hills Image

Spring 2019 Release

The nose hints at gravel after intense summer rains, mountain strawberry, and watermelon rind.  On the palate, our 2018 Vin Gris is clear and vibrant, showing a disarming minerality that lends it a seriousness beyond the average pink wine.  Further notes of strawberry hold this wine to a tight line, yielding the freshness that only early harvested Pinot Noir from old vines can express.  Enjoy with plenty of sunshine and all types of locally-grown cuisine.

262 cases produced

The 2016 Pinot Noir Rancho La Encantada is one of the more understated wines in this range. Floral overtones give the sweet red cherry, mint and white pepper notes striking lift. Gracious, pretty and impeccably balanced, the 2016 will drink beautifully right out of the gate. The 2016 is not an obvious wine, as so many Sta. Rita Hills Pinots can be, but it just gets better and better with time in the glass.

2016 Pinot Noir, Barrel Select Image

Spring 2019 Release

Bright red fruits, cranberry, and faint licorice scents are buttressed by mocha, smoke, and coffee bean notes from a prolonged barrel aging.  On the palate, silky tannins are balanced with sizzling acid, keeping everyting sturdy and fresh.  Flavors of blackberry and white pepper echo on the finish.
