From the luminous iridescence of its fresh watermelon color, to the floral-strawberry aromatics, to the pleasantly refreshing raspberry tang of the mouth-feel and finish, here is the 2010 Pinot Noir Vin-Gris, a fullpackage true rosé, subtle perhaps, but in no way wimpy… Summer here has been mostly cool if not cold, so we’ll probably get a hotter-than-usual fall season, making this wine’s release just in the nick of time… Balmy evenings with a variety of tapas, or a spread of antipasto, or a Provencal-style fish stew, all would be right at home in this wine’s company, or, on your next day off, open it with a lavish spicy Mexican/Southwestern-style breakfast (and be sure to schedule a nap for the afternoon)…Our featured recipe pairing is Sunday Morning at the Sonquists, aka Spicy Pork Hash on Polenta Au Cheval.
