At Alma Rosa Winery and Vineyards, we are passionate about producing exceptional wines while safeguarding the health of our land, community, and environment.

Alma Rosa’s estate vineyard, El Jabali, planted in 1983, was the first certified organic vineyard in Santa Barbara County. Today, under the leadership of Winemaker Samra Morris and Viticulturist Erik Mallea, we remain committed to preserving the authenticity and sustainability of our terroir through a variety of sustainable practices. Both our El Jabali estate vineyard and winery are certified sustainable by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance.

Our estate spans over 600 acres, with just under 50 acres planted to vineyards. The remaining land is left to native wildlife and plant species. By employing sustainable techniques like integrated pest management, soil health preservation, and energy efficiency, we are ensuring the long-term vitality of our vineyard for future generations.

Our eco-conscious approach also prioritizes water conservation, biodiversity and the well-being of our team. We are proud to be part of a growing community of wineries dedicated to creating a sustainable future, while producing wines that reflect the unique character of the Sta. Rita Hills.
